Tub Time
The twins are so in love with Lane. They want to do everything with him. I tried to give him a bath and they both wanted to get in. So we filled up the tub around Lane's tub. They are learning to "be soft" with him. They both give him kisses all of the time.
He's had a little cold lately, but is still a really good baby. He only wakes up during the night to eat and go right back to sleep. So much easier than the twins who woke up, ate, stayed up, and I had to work to put them back to sleep. If he would have been my first, I would have gotten so much sleep. Lane wakes up for about half an hour between 4 and 5 am. I just get back to sleep and the twins come bounding in--usually between 5:30 and 6 a.m.
Porter has been speaking in complete sentences. The time I really noticed it was when he said, "I wanna sleep in Mommy's bed." It was a whole sentence! I guess only a Mom could get excited about that.
Yesterday Madison came in crying saying that Porter had bit her. I told Porter to come here. He came in the room and I said, "Did you bite Madison?" He said, "Yaaas." (His version of Yes.) I told him he had to go to time out in his room for a long time. I sent him to his room. He happily bounded in there. After getting the baby put down I went in to talk to him. I said, "Porter, why did you bite your sister?" He said, "Because Madi bit me." I said, "Where?" He showed me. I said, "Madison, get in here!" When I asked her about it, she looked away very guilty. I said, Madison those are your teeth marks. Anyway, they both got in trouble. I thought it was interesting that Porter willingly took his punishment without telling on Madison.

Class Reunion
BACK ROW: (l to r) Paul Lamb (Class of 92), Keola Bandmann, Brian Sharp, Travis Cripps, Matt Parry, Jeremy Thatcher, President Bryson Jones, George Vest (Class of 87), Travis Pierce, Mike Jones, and David Grygla. FRONT ROW: (l to r) Annie Lamb (Class of 89), Ronaleee Lamb, Cajsa Bandmann (Class of 89), Tanya Cheff, Lisa Hamilton, Jan Gardner, Elizabeth Lane, and Amy Larson.
Wow! We had a blast to the past over Fourth of July weekend with our class reunion. Everyone was the same as 20 years ago. Amazing how we were able to travel back in time like no time had passed at all. We had a great time catching up and seeing what everyone was up to 20 years later. This picture is of our seminary class of 88. Sherri Harris and Shannon Damron were not there because they were busy setting up for the evening dinner.

Playing in the Backyard
The kids have so much fun playing outside even though the weather is in the triple digits! They're growing up so fast! Porter always grabs my hand and says, "Play me!" He wants me to play outside with him. Madison loves wearing dresses and playing with the dog. Porter found Dad's hat and didn't want to take it off.

Pics of kids
Here is everyone sleeping. (Above--Porter and Madison. And, below, Lane.) They are so sweet when they're asleep. Lane loves the blanket Mom got for him. It's very soft and he loves to hold onto it. He'll probably be like Madison who won't give up the blanket Mom gave her when she was a baby. The other day I asked her if we could buy her a new blanket and she got teary-eyed and said, "No." I said this one is so dirty and old. She would just say no and shake her head.

Oh no...
Porter and Madison were having a hard time going down for their nap today. I had gone downstairs and then came back up to check on them. I opened there door and found Porter laying on his back in the "getting his diaper changed" position. He had his diaper off, and Madison was sitting right there with the handi-wipes and a new diaper. She was trying to clean him off.
The only problem was he had pooped his diaper. It looked like he had used their little Porta Potty that we keep in their bedroom. We always walk the contents to the toilet and flush it. Apparently, they had tried to dispose of it too, but weren't sure where to put it. As a result...there was fecal evidence in various places of the room. Madison was smart enough to touch everything with a handi-wipe in her hand. Porter went straight to it and had some of the evidence on his hands.
I jumped in to finish the diaper with Porter and started to clean up the worst of it. Madison grabbed a handi-wipe and picked up the "big ball" that had fallen onto the floor. I couldn't believe how much she did all by herself. She didn't quite have the skills, but boy was she trying.
Aside from the "chitty chitty bang bang," they have been doing well. They are still mischievious, but I think it's because they are unsupervised too much. I get tied up with Lane and they run amuck.
Lane is still very good although he likes to wake up for a couple of hours during the night. He's usually happy--just a little fussiness--but wide awake. He started holding his head up and is very alert to voices. His eyes are still very blue. I hope they stay! They're very pretty. So far he still has a lot of dark hair and a cute little pug nose like Kimberly. He has the same chin Jake (Lane) had when he was a baby. He definitely carries the Lane gene.
I am a little run down with three babies under the age of 2! Sometimes they really work me over. Especially when they are all hungry and need their diapers changed. It's keeping me busy and they are definitely worth it.

Special Treat
Brant bought be a spa gift certificate as a gift for having a baby. It was so nice I thought, "I should have babies more often...nah, not a good enough trade." But, it was very nice. I got a manicure, pedicure (never have had that before), and European facial. Plus, facial, hand, and foot massage. It was really nice. Especially because Brant had all 3 kids! I fell asleep in the chair right after my pedicure. I think sleep comes so easily, that's the best break of all.
Brant has been so good at helping me with the kids. He lets me take naps on the weekends and still takes Porter and Madison to the park every Saturday. In church, I don't have to do anything with the kids. He keeps them sitting very reverently during Sacrament Meeting. No small task, but he's very good with them. I'm glad they are learning to behave during church. I just wish church was not during their regular nap time.

The terrible twos are coming early
Porter and Madison have always done everything a little early, so it doesn't surprise me that they are peaking into the Terrible Two stage early. Last week they really pushed me to my limits. I had to give myself time-out a couple of times just to keep from strangling them. Let's see. I'll just list some of the things they did. They got into the vaseline jar and kindly helped to grease each other up from head to toe. It was so bad, I couldn't get it off of them. The bathtub ended up being coated with it as well. I used body soap, shampoo, and Brant's de-greasing agent from work. They looked like little grease heads for a couple of days because I couldn't get it out of their hair. I almost slipped and broke my neck in the shower because it was still all over.
They got into a box of styrofoam packing and broke it all into pieces. I can't even remember everything else they did. I think I have been blocking it out already.
Lane is recovering from his circumcision. He actually healed really quickly.
There is going to be a seminary reunion for the Class of 1988 during the 4th of July weekend. Everyone is invited to attend--if they want to. They have an open invitation to anyone who wants to come and visit.
