I've been sleep training Lane for the last four nights. Last night was the first night he slept for 10 hours without waking up. Aaahh! Heaven! I am one of the biggest "need my sleep" people you can meet. Of course, when my eight hours is up I'm done. I don't oversleep or sleep all day. (I know Mom--when I was a teenager--that was different.)
Lane slept great last night. But did I? No. Madison, who is such a large icon in the universe that even the Sun looks at her, decided to fall out of bed while she was sleeping. Unfortunately, they sleep in a room with wood flooring. There was a loud clunk followed by a scream of terror and shrill crying. She is still cursed with my lack of coordination and falling out of bed just goes with the territory. Brant actually got up with her and put her back in bed. So, I'm not sure if she was terrified she was going to fall out of bed or what. But, she woke up 3 different times and came and crawled into bed with me. At 2 a.m. she was sitting up in my bed, playing with her favorite blanket, talking in her high-pitched little voice. I was afraid she was going to wake Lane up--and he was sleeping so well. I sent her back to bed.
I am greatly looking forward to tonight and hope that I will get my first full night's sleep in over 9 months.

Awww, that's how it always goes. No matter what something ruins a good nights sleep.
